TRAVELING VIA PUBLIC TRANSIT

The D.C. MetroRail system has six intersecting route lines that travel through D.C., Maryland, and Virginia and is accessible to the public via SmartTrip Card. Metro fares vary depending on peak hours and destination route. To help accurately plan for your trip and fare cost, please use the WMATA’s Trip Planner tool - in addition to MetroRail routes, this tool can also be used to determine convenient MetroBus routes.

MetroRail Hours:
Monday - Thursday: 5 AM to 11:30 PM
Friday: 5 AM to 1 AM
Saturday: 7 AM to 1 AM
Sunday: 8 AM to 11 PM

PRINTING TICKETS

Go Green! Scan your ticket right from your phone!
If you choose the “Print at Home / Mobile Device” ticket method, you have all you need right in your smartphone. Our staff is equipped to scan your ticket right from your device. Here’s some tips:
  • We’re Apple Wallet compatible! Click the Apple Wallet icon in your order confirmation email to add your tickets to your digital wallet.
  • Do not take a screenshot or upload a picture of your e-ticket. Only the original pdf from your email confirmation will scan.
  • Make sure the brightness is turned up on your phone and the bar code is visible and centered. This will help the scanning process.

Printing your tickets and having issues?
  • If you do choose to print your tickets and find they are printing without a barcode, open the attachment in Adobe Reader, go into Advanced in Print Setup and check “Print As Image.”
  • If you are not able to open the attachment, visit Get.Adobe.Com/Reader to download the latest version of Adobe Acrobat.
If that is not successful, you can come down to the box office on the night of the show with your government-issued ID, and order confirmation number to have your tickets reprinted in person.
